“I’m looking for new ways to give voice and expression to the sensuality of ordinary people. I, a clumsy Sunday photographer, am looking for people like me, to build something together that isn’t just a mere display of female bodies, however beautiful, or the artistic skill of those who photograph them. I want to seek out new worlds and new people, who approach the edge of this sensuality with the humility of the penitent and the curiosity of the child, who builds, with leaves, water, and ash, a land that adults will neither be able to order nor disarrange, far removed from the hypocrisy that soils every day of our lives. In imperfection lies the secret of beauty, in spontaneity lies the joy of being, as an engineer, I searched for gold with complicated and sophisticated machines, and now… I want to be a diviner, and search for water with a wooden fork… because it brings me closer to both the earth and the sky.”
